JFT Study Materials in Nepali: Irodori, Audio and Practice

Find official Irodori books in Nepali, lesson audio and JFT sample questions, with a simple routine for turning free study materials into daily practice.

Japanese JFT

Start with the official Irodori Nepali books

The Japan Foundation New Delhi provides Irodori Starter, Elementary 1 and Elementary 2 in Nepali. Follow its book links below to choose lessons and the accompanying materials. Use the publisher’s files so you can identify the edition and source.

नेपाली व्याख्या बुझ्न प्रयोग गर्नुहोस्, तर जापानी वाक्य र audio आफैँ बुझ्ने अभ्यास पनि गर्नुहोस्। PDF पढ्ने र उत्तर चिन्ने काम मात्रमा तयारी सीमित नराख्नुहोस्।

Choose a lesson by what you need to do

Begin with a realistic goal: introduce yourself, understand a shop conversation or read a short notice. Study the vocabulary and expression for that goal, then check whether you can understand a new example without seeing a translation.

If you are still learning kana and basic phrases, build those foundations first. When a lesson feels comfortable, move to a new situation using similar language rather than only rereading the same page.

Use lesson audio actively

Listen once for the situation before looking at the transcript. On another listen, pick out the detail that changes the answer: who, where, when or what happens next. Then check the transcript and replay the phrase you missed.

  • Before listening: predict the setting from the task, not the answer.
  • During listening: make a choice and identify the clue you heard.
  • After listening: compare with the transcript and say the useful phrase aloud.
  • Later: try unfamiliar audio to check understanding beyond memorisation.

A manageable daily study routine

Try a 30-minute session: five minutes reviewing yesterday’s words, ten minutes on a lesson, ten minutes on audio or a short reading task, and five minutes recording mistakes. Adjust the time to your level and available schedule.

Once a week, replace the short practice with a full mock. Use the result to decide which lessons need another pass. This is a suggested routine, not a promise to reach a particular level in a fixed number of days.

Free resources and Yashi practice have different roles

Official books build language skills; official sample questions show the test presentation; Yashi Academy provides a practice path and timed mocks. Combine them instead of using one resource as a complete substitute for the others.

A file labelled “JFT past paper PDF” is not automatically an official paper. The Japan Foundation does not publish past test papers. Use its sample link for authentic format guidance.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I download an Irodori Nepali PDF?

Open the Japan Foundation New Delhi Irodori page linked below and select Starter, Elementary 1 or Elementary 2. Use the official publisher’s downloads.

Are these official learning materials free?

The linked Japan Foundation Irodori materials and JFT samples are free to access. Yashi app practice access is shown separately inside the app.

Can reading PDFs replace JFT listening practice?

No. Pair reading with lesson audio and unseen listening tasks. A transcript is useful for review after you have tried to understand the recording.
